ISLAY – Bunnahabhain – Peated – Red Wine Cask
Whole Lotta Rosé is a bold and expressive Bunnahabhain. Heavily peated and fully matured in fresh red wine barriques. The prim and picturesque vineyards of Europe feel a long way from the North East coast of Islay where Bunnahabhain lies mashing, distilling, and maturing Islay malt whisky. The unlikely duo have really brought something together worth singing about.
Distilled at Bunnahabhain in 2019 and bottled in 2026, this 7 year old single malt showcases a heavy hitting peat punch melted into fragrant berries and cloaked in a natural rosé hue drawn directly from the wood.
Bottled at a powerful 55% ABV, bottled with minimal intervention, this Islay single malt delivers depth and texture on the palate. The red wine barrique maturation adds richness, fruitiness and oak spice without masking the distillery character, allowing Bunnahabhain’s peated spirit – often called Staoisha- to remain front and centre (not that it would be easy to mask!).
This is a peated Bunnahabhain for drammers who enjoy a BIG whisky.
