Presenting, the second release in the Rumours series of Single Cask bottlings. This is a second mystery cask from an un-named Islay single malt whisky distillery. Aged for 30 years and bottled at natural cask strength of 51.3%.
This casks is utterly unique. The absolute rarity, unctuous quality and beautifully seasoned age make this an exceptionally special single malt Scotch. This whisky was born of a world famous distillery and single casks are as luxurious as they are extraordinary. After the angels have taken their ample share over the last three decades, there is only enough precious spirit left to fill less than 250 bottles.

Chapter 2 of the Rumours series is available to pre-order from Thursday the 13th of May. Each bottle is drawn from a 30 year old ex-bourbon barrel, filled, labelled and individually numbered by hand. We proudly offer this to you free from colouring or chill-filtration at natural Cask Strength of 51.3% ABV.

WHY THE NAME - RUMOURS?
We name all of our releases. The name is chosen specially to suit the individual cask. The age, taste, character, rarity and strength all contributing. Sometimes they name themselves. Single cask whisky of an un-named distillery always creates excitement, chatter and speculation- particularly when the age is so high and the cask so rare. Many whisky lovers love the mystique of a un-named distillery and the challenge of working it out. So here is Rumours- Chapter 2, and the gauntlet is once again thrown down.

Nose
Gentle smouldering smoke, ripe apple accompanies delicate violets, florals and aromatics esters. Gentle and fragrant spices abound including cloves, baked ginger and dark cocoa.
Palate
Tender and mild smoke and chocolate followed by an unctuous creamy mouthfeel of violet cremes, honey, blossom and spiced fruit loaf.
Finish
The rich, smooth and creamy palate dries out on the finish revealing a delightful complexity of spices. Soft baked ginger, cinnamon, cloves and citrus oil are all wrapped in a smooth and fragrant smoke. The lightness and complexity linger on the palate long after the whisky has gone and aromatics continue to develop with each sip.
