I'll Take the Low Road 17 Year Old Inchfad

This rich and earthy whisky is full-bodied, complex and bursting with smokey peat. This sweet and heady dram is available to pre-order from Wednesday the 20th April 2022. Each bottle is drawn from an ex-bourbon hogshead, filled and individually labelled by hand and is proudly offered to you free from colouring or chill-filtration. I’ll Take The Low Road, has been bottled the way the highlanders would have drank it- cask strength. After 17 years of maturation, the natural ABV of this cask is 53.1%.

There are only 246 bottles- making them as collectible as they are distinct and delicious.

WHY THE NAME - I'll TAKE THE LOW ROAD?

We name all of our releases. The name is chosen specially to suit each cask we bottle. The age, taste, character, rarity and strength all contributing. This cask might as well have named itself.
Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled in Loch Lomond distillery- a hop skip and a jump from the bonnnie, bonnie banks. The first time we released a whisky distilled at Loch Lomond, we christened it “You Take The High Road”. This second Loch Lomond cask we quite simply had to call “I’ll Take The Low Road”.

For those who aren’t born and bred in bonnie Scotland, there is a very famous old Scots song called Loch Lomond. We often play it and sing along at the end of celebrations and ceilidhs.

WHICH DISTILLERY?

Today the spirit flows consistently and in great quantity from 6 copper stills where oak ageing creates a famously floral and delicate spirit. The brilliant Loch Lomond distillery has for years produced many different styles of whisky. Each different single malt spirit they have named after one of the many beautiful islands of the Loch.

This is a soft and smokey spirit named Inchfad.

This pre-order release will be ready for shipping in late May of 2022 and is strictly limited to just 3 bottles per customer.

Nose

Soft smoke steams from the glass laced with sugary sweet and earthen peat. Vanilla ice cream follows on with hints of boiled sweets and citrus.

Palate

A bold and heady concoction of complex flavours. First the sweetness of peat and old malt coats the mouth followed by a second deeper and richer earthy peat. As it fades, citric boiled sweets, creaminess of marshmallow and whole rack of spices emerge.

Finish
Heady and earthy peat lingers long, mingled with sweetness and spice and all things nice. A touch of orange rind is the last to leave.

Orders within the UK will be delivered in 2-3 working days after dispatch via Royal Mail Tracked 48 in fully recyclable, plastic free packaging.
