Dana and I first launched Uncharted Whisky in 2020. It was humbling to see an idea grow to a bottling, grow to a recognised brand, and see a community of whisky lovers evolve who really got behind us and supported Uncharted from it’s infancy.
It wasn’t long before “The Friends of Uncharted Whisky” group sprang up on Facebook. We love seeing the conversations, debates, tasting notes, and questions online in the evening when people are putting their feet up to unwind. We particularly love members sharing photos of what they’re dramming in the evenings and the conversations they spark.
So here is to you. A bottling just for the Friends of Uncharted and The Uncharted Syndicate. This won’t be available anywhere else but right here. Do you remember Thunderstruck? The 7 year old cask strength sherry bomb from last year- well [and please read in a Yoda voice], there is another… The liquid was also distilled at Auchroisk and matured in a first fill oloroso sherry cask from the same sherry producer. The difference, it’s twice the age 14 years old, longer sherry finish, and there’s just one cask yielding around 230 bottles.

Nose
Rich rich rich. so rich. Sticky toffee pudding, dark chocolate, a hint of zesty orange rind, fresh bag of raisins.
Palate
Brown sugar and spice and all things nice. Mature aromas of leather mingle with the sherry bomb nature of this sweetie.
Finish
Bold and elegant, this dram meanders away in it’s own good time levaing behind the warmth, spice, and an unctuous butterscotch flavours.
