This Campbeltown blended malt is built on a foundation of 99% Glen Scotia, with just a “teaspoon” of Springbank woven in. A tiny addition on paper, but enough to add an extra flicker of intrigue and depth.
Once the whisky capital of the world, Campbeltown is now home to just a handful of distilleries, but its character remains unmistakable. There’s a subtle maritime edge here, a salt-kissed breeze running through the dram, balanced by oiliness, fruit, and a gentle, old-school weight.
Fully matured in a first fill bourbon barrel, the cask has worked its quiet magic. It brings richness and polish without ever drowning that distinctive regional character. After another year of patient aging, the whisky has settled into a beautifully composed dram.
A year ago, we couldn’t wait to bottle it.

WHAT IS the uncharted syndicate?
The Uncharted Whisky Syndicate is a collection of whisky lovers. Jack and Dana, the sole owners and operators of Uncharted Whisky have curated a small collection of super interesting casks. Anybody can go on to the Uncharted Whisky website and buy a share of any of the casks on offer. One full share entitles you to 4 bottles from the cask when it is eventually bottled at it’s pre-arranged date. Bowie is the very first syndicate cask to reach it’s bottling age. Now that all the share owners have been allocated their bottles, we are delighted to offer the remaining bottles for sale to you.

We have a lot of fun with the Uncharted Syndicate. We believe that if we’re not having fun, we’re doing it wrong… All the syndicate casks have been named after our favourite rockstars- have a look at the others here. We’ve always loved Iggy Pop and we’ve always loved Glen Scotia whisky, it’s not anymore complex than that!

Nose
Rich vanilla leads, wrapped in fresh fruit brightness: ripe peaches, kiwi, and a flicker of lemon zest.
Palate
Silky and full-bodied. Warming spices meet a buttery softness, layered with evolving notes of mature leather and oak

Long, elegant, gently spiced, with lingering sweetness and a subtle coastal edge
